After reading the introductory texts and the article about the Matilda Effect, think of how the abilities and roles of women have changed over the past 100-200 years.  What are some of the things that have changed for women?  Write about 2-3 paragraphs about how our current culture is different for women that it was in the past.  You could choose to argue that there are things that haven’t changed for women.  Whatever stance you take, include examples.
